How to use

How do I set up the Podocart AP190?

Micromotor and lamps not included.

Steps

Position the trolley: Place the Podocart on a flat, stable floor, next to the pedestal chair, on the side of your dominant hand. This ensures that instruments and the handpiece remain within easy reach without having to twist your torso.
Clean before first use.: Remove any protective film and clean the glass top and drawers with a suitable cleaning product. Dry with a soft cloth before storing the instruments.
Check the wheels: Check that the four swivel castors move freely in all directions.
Insert the micromotor into the compartment: Open the pull-out drawer (47.5 × 39 × 18 cm) and place the micromotor on the bottom. The micromotor is not included.
Cable routing: Feed the power cable through the cable grommet in the compartment and through the side holes, right up to the socket. Allow the handpiece to protrude from the cable grommet so that the cable is not bent or pinched when the compartment is closed.
Use the open-chamber micromotor.: During treatment, it is recommended that you keep the compartment open: as well as allowing you to operate the controls comfortably, this ensures the micromotor remains ventilated. Close it again once you have finished.
Fit the lamp: Attach the lamp (not included) to the external mount.

Tips for organising the worktop and drawers

Podocart’s multi-level design allows you to organise your equipment by frequency of use and hygiene level: items used during treatment at the top, and stock at the bottom. Always keep sterile instruments separate from those that have already been used.

Steps

Glass top shelf – work area: Only keep what is needed for the current procedure: the micromotor handpiece, the fitted bur, a bowl or tray, and the product being used. Set up the work surface at the start of each treatment and clear it at the end, before disinfecting it.
Glass drawer – sterile zone: Sterilised burs and instruments, sealed in sterilisation pouches. The glass front allows immediate identification of contents without opening the drawer. We recommend arranging the pouches upright or in rows, by type of bur or instrument.
Top drawer – single-use: Use it, for example, for gloves, face masks, disposable files and blades, wipes, towels and placemats.
Bottom drawer – bottles and supplies: Use it, for example, for disinfectants, creams, spare parts and work kits.
Pull-out compartment – micromotor: Reserved for the micromotor and its cable. Do not use as a shelf for other items, so that the motor remains ventilated and the cable is unobstructed.
