Product description

Podiatric silicone for repairing foot orthoses.

A fluid, viscous silicone polymer with a semi-hard consistency and multi-purpose use: it can be mixed with other paste-form silicones to increase their elasticity; it adheres perfectly to ready-made orthoses for any additions, or can be used on previously made orthoses for repairs.

Its excellent mechanical properties make it ideal for repairing breaks or defects in orthoses made from other silicones.

It cures at room temperature with the gel catalyst and becomes an elastic, durable, semi-transparent material with a final Shore A hardness of 20.

Maximum mechanical properties are achieved after 7 days.

Frequently asked questions
What is silicone polymer used for?
It is used to repair tears or defects in silicone orthoses, to join two parts together, to make additions to existing orthoses, and to increase the elasticity of silicone paste.
Which catalyst is used, and in what quantity?
Use the Master-Cat gel catalyst, adding it until the polymer changes from transparent to a uniform red colour.
Does it fit over orthoses that have already been made?
Yes, it adheres to ready-made silicone orthoses and allows for repairs and additions.
Can it be mixed with paste silicones?
Yes, when mixed with silicone paste, it increases its elasticity.
How long does it take for the repaired orthosis to reach its maximum strength?
Maximum mechanical properties are achieved after 7 days.
